Kaun Mera Mera Kya Tu Lage !
I dunno why but going to a temple or praying to god for me when I was younger was only about –
Asking And/Or Forgiveness !!!
Whether it was asking for an
Easy exam,Getting awesome grades,A fun holiday,A cute boyfriend,Good projects,Happy future etc etc
Or it was about asking for forgiveness for hurting some one or doing some thing wrong in life!
But it was never about just going to a temple and saying-
THANKU FOR EVERYTHING!
I AM GRATEFUL FOR THIS LIFE !
So now,
when I take Mehr to a temple or gurudwara…
The only words she hears from my mouth are that of being grateful for everything we have !
I want her to know that when we goto a temple we just go there to pay our respects to almighty and thank him for this beautiful life !
And not go there with chadawa to ask for something in return like an EXCHANGE !
This concept needs to change !
Be Good.Do Good.And Thank God ! Simple !
P.S – Today at the gurudwara I closed my eyes and said,
‘Thanku babaji for giving me my Mehr’❤️
Thats when she sat down closed her eyes and said,
‘Thanku babaji for giving me My Mamma’ ❤️

Every festival,I get transported back to my childhood !
Every small memory comes back so strongly !
And suddenly I have 5 extra pairs of hands attached to my body,More brain cells,More multi tasking energy and 50 more hours in day to make sure Im able to create some new and some old rituals for Mehr to follow !

This year we have added a special ritual-
🌺The Bhog Ke Laddoo and Phool Mala for Laxmi Ji and Ganesh Ji were made by Mehr🌺
And when we finished The Dhanteras Pooja in Office,
Mehr distributed the Laddoos to everyone and everyone gobbled them up with a Big Smile and blessed her by touching her head ,
I just kept looking at the Satisfaction and Happiness on her face…
She felt that her involvement in the festival in her own small ways is spreading joy in so many peoples lives !
And for this very feeling….
I am grateful to God 😇

A few weeks ago,
Mehr had raised and released two beautiful Butterflies as an activity to understand ‘The Life Cycle Of A Butterfly’
So this morning we made a painting to cherish the time we spent with our butterflies and to always remember them !
All we needed was a Rectangle Sponge,tied right in the middle with a rubber band !

Montessori way of teaching believes that-
A child’s Method,Approach and Hard-work should be praised instead of using half bodied praises like –
Good job
Good girl
Well done etc etc
It takes practice but once the concept is clear in your head it is very easy to change your lingo ! 😍
The idea is to excite them for the work they put in IRRESPECTIVE of the success or failure of their attempt at anything in life !🙂
When she did this beautifully executed backflip and looked at me immediately for acknowledgement I knew it was my moment to appreciate the work that she had been putting in for weeks now !
All in all…. I love Montessori ! I think it aims at raising wholesome human beings and it aligns with my personal approach so well ❤️
