Anna Silk Instagram – Today, October 11th, marks the 10th anniversary of International Day of the Girl! As a proud ambassador with Plan International Canada I have been asked to share a message to my younger self.
This was my first grade picture. I loved that knit dress. Last night I told my oldest son I was doing this today and I asked him what message he thought I should share. His answer? In classic Sam fashion, it was perfect. “Mom?” he said. “You are always so nice to Levi and I…maybe you should tell younger you to be kinder to yourself”. Well Sam, I can’t think of a better message for this 6 year old who, even back then, was pretty hard on herself. So here goes…”be kinder to yourself little Anna, you’re doing great!”. Also I would tell her that while the mushroom cut never really took off (sniff), she still rocked it❤️.
