To be able to speak my truth and be acknowledged for it is truly humbling. My one purpose on earth , I feel, is simply to make others not feel so alone, in whatever way I can, & and take the stigma away from living with mental health disabilities. I really want to take this time to applaud God’s Love on their new mental health initiative, and thank them for validating a community that is often left feeling alone, unheard and without resources. Through their new program called “CONNECTED”, God’s Love will now provide meal delivery and nutrition counseling to people suffering from a range of mental health diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia and substance abuse conditions. To have a meal made for you, to simply know that someone out there cares about you, can make all the difference. Michael, Lance, Jordan, Anna and the entire MK team have been there for me in times I didn’t know if I could keep going, let alone work, and genuinely took the time to understand me and what I was going through. Working in contract with a company isn’t just another job to me. It’s a family, and the loyalty, trust and love run deep. There were times I was at my lowest, and the entire world felt like it was coming down on me, and Michael was there to make sure I was okay, never once letting that loyalty go. So, thank you Michael, for not only supporting our beautiful city of New York at large, but supporting the ones you love on a personal level too.
