Laura James Instagram – To my queen…on November 2 we had to say goodbye to you, for now. My heart hurts in ways I didn’t know it could. Nobody could ever understand what we had. You were my #1 and the idea of you not running to greet me when I come home and jumping into bed to snuggle is an impossible feeling to face. I’ll miss our silly routines. You were everyone’s favorite cat, but to me you were so much more. You really resisted your new brothers at first, but quickly realized @jonecker wasn’t going anywhere, and eventually leaned in. Everyone loved your name, Tuna, and you always made such an impression on anyone who met you, even if it was just a few minutes at the vet. You always gave everyone so much attention when they would visit, the actual queen of hosting. The day they took your physical body away from us, we laid on our driveway and looked up at the sky. I asked you for a sign, so I could know you were still with us, and within 10 seconds it started to gently rain, and only lasted a minute. Now I see you, and feel you everywhere. As hard as it was to say goodbye to you, I would never trade that for those special years we did have. You taught me so much.
