My Judaism is the ancient people I come from and the ones I eat with on Fridays. I come from people who don’t budge. Those tortured, imprisoned, killed, forced to relocate and made to forget their own traditions. But actually coming to America, for my family, made us more Jewish. Here we met other Jewish families and re-adopted traditions the USSR literally outlawed. I freaking love knowing I’m a part of a people who exist because of our will, love, generosity, dry-ass cookies, and a few miracles.

100% of proceeds purchase the most important household essentials for our newest families in the “Survive” pillar, the 1st 30 days with Miry’s List.
Kids get to pick out their favorite color bedsheets and blankets. Babies have age-appropriate bassinets and cribs with properly fitting sheets. Mom and dads specify comfort preferences – a firm or soft mattress? Or one in between?
Everybody is better off knowing their comfort and wellbeing is prioritized, they have a safe and comfortable place to lay their heads and that they can show up for school, work and life rested.
The first $50,000 donated will be matched 1-for-1 by The Shapiro Foundation and Milana Vayntrub.
We currently have enough funds to cover this program without delay through the month of October. To avoid delays, between now and October 31st 2022, we are raising $400,000 more to buy beds, bed frames, bedding and pillows for every family enrolled in our program through April 2023.
Whether you can give $10 to purchase a pillow, $100 to purchase a twin mattress, or $1000 to cover beds for an entire family, your participation is so important for our ability to reach our goal.
