Princess Nokia Instagram – It is my great honor to share that “Daughter Of The Sea” has been an official selection in 23 film festivals, and THE RECIPIENT of 14 AWARDS THUS FAR! It is beyond my wildest dreams to share that I HAVE WON TWO AWARDS FOR BEST LEADING ACTRESS. I want to personally thank my director @lexroc for believing in me. I want to thank her for extending the opportunity to be apart of a movie so culturally, spiritually and artistically UPLIFTING. I want to thank my cast mates Migdalia Rosario and Joanne Gil Rivera for providing me with the utmost matriarchal love and theatrical guidance on set. It was an honor to play your grand child and daughter. The emotional times we shared on set will forever be in my heart. Congratulations and a HUGE THANK YOU to my god sister @niambisala for her outstanding role as YEMAYA. I love you sister thank you for sharing this moment with me and being the most important part of this piece. Thank you to every festival that validated this film, and celebrated its beauty, we are so touched. And to my beautiful spiritual mother, Yemaya, thank you for choosing me to play Yanise and bringing me to Puerto Rico to participate in this life changing experience.
