This morning at 7am – I decided to go on my daily walk. Walking has become my therapy. My time to talk to God. My time to reflect. My time to grow as a person and woman of God. I get pretty emotional thinking about this because Gods goodness is unwavering. I’m a sinner. I make mistakes. And God is still there… my dad told me “I just want to you be the daughter I raised and to see your kindness again, I know it’s hard to be kind to others when you can’t be kind to yourself but if anyone deserves kindness it’s you so love yourself and grant yourself the grace God died and left you with.” 😭

Recently, I’ve been weathering the storm of life alone – NOT because those who love me haven’t been present. They have been OH SO PRESENT. I have just chosen to be alone. I’ve chosen to fight my battles silently, while smiling on the outside. Ever since I was a kid…I perfected the art of “acting.” I can put a smile on my face instantly! I can be the life of the room….all while silently dying inside. This morning it finally hit me – “STOP WALKING INTO THE STORM ALONE SAVANNAH.” I feel like that was God coming to me…saying turn to Him! This life wasn’t meant for us to do alone – dig yourself deep into prayer and I promise you will hear the plans that God has for you. They may not be what you had hoped and prayed for…but they will be HIS plans which are far greater than any we could ever have for ourselves.

I look at these videos and photos of myself and I’m honestly so proud…I’ve come a long way. I may only be 25 (well on the 11th😉) but I’ve lived a lot of life. I’ve gone through pain, suffering, heart break, losing myself, and so much more. At 17 When I was competing in pageants, I struggled with a borderline eating disorder. I would workout twice a day, not go to sleep until I ran at minimum 6 miles, and I would only eat once a day. I was 5”8 at 110 pounds. I WAS NOT HEALTHY! But guess what…I was also running. I was running from myself and my inner struggles. I had ZERO love for ME. Over the years I have gone to tons of therapy and I’m learning to love ME and have a healthy outlook on my body and mental health. The work isn’t always easy…but it’s worth it!
