Adam Devine Instagram – RIP to comedy legend Bud Friedman. Bud started the improv comedy clubs and essentially started what we know as modern stand up comedy. My first “big break” in Hollywood was working the door and answering phones at the world famous Hollywood Improv on Melrose. At that time Bud was still working at the club. He was bigger than life. I have a photo somewhere of Bud and my parents taking a photo together. He put on his monocle. My parents were very confused. I thought it was hilarious. Was the monocle a bit? We will never know. I need to find that pic! Condolences to the entire stand up community. We lost a legend.
