I first went to Leeds festival 10 years ago as a teenager, me and Deano spent the entire week launching hot dogs out of a gazebo pole at random crowds of lads chanting ‘Yorkshire Yorkshire’. One night I was out cold in my tent from necking a bottle of vodka at Eagles of Death Metal my tent got set alight – some fine young hero from Sheffield pissed out the fire to save me. Thankfully because of that lad whose name I can’t remember, I didn’t perish in the flames, little did he know he’d just saved Reading and Leeds’s 2023 headliner. See you down the front x

I’m thinking about the moment Bruce’s music first resonated with me. I was a teenager, in my brother @liamfender ‘s van that he used to gig with, loose baccy and the old green packets of golden Virginia all over the van, the smell of smoke, full of excitement, driving down to Manchester for some audition for god knows what. My brother whacks in the cd, turns the volume up, and the snare roll of born to run punched me in the face for the very first time. Something stirred in me that day – and I wish that I could bottle the feeling I had in that van, have a swig every now and then when I’m being a sappy fucker. I wouldn’t be what I am today without my brother, that music and those long rides in that janky little van. Next year I’m opening up for him in Italy 🤯 what the fuck is going on!!!?!?? ALSO, we’re gonna have our first ever headline show in Italy 🇮🇹 so fucking excited! Tkts onsale from Wednesday 30th November 11am cet
