Will Poulter Instagram – It’s really hard to put in to words how grateful and proud I feel to be involved in Dopesick. This show gave me the precious opportunity to have a small hand in telling the truth behind the opioid crisis and while the damage of the epidemic is both ongoing and largely irreversible, our greatest hope beyond the honour of being recognised with these Emmy nominations is that we have helped bring facts to the surface. We hope we have highlighted the injustices suffered by hundreds of thousand of people. We hope the show has been received in the spirit of solidarity with the victims of opioid abuse disorder. And I hope that the legacy of Dopesick will be a greater empathy for those who struggle with addiction and a clear message that the atrocities of this opioid epidemic can never be repeated.
