2022 reflections ❤️ I’m posting this long caption more for myself because I will look back on my own post from time to time hehe
This year, I probably performed the most I have ever in my journey thus far.
I started performing with my band as well as shows abroad both as a solo artist and as a member of a team. I realized that this confidence that I always thought I lacked truly just comes with experience. The more you force yourself to do something, the more comfortable you get and ultimately the more confident you get. And so that’s what I did/what I’m still working on. I’m particularly pointing this out for myself because I want to remind myself this growth happened only because I took action and did something about it instead of wallowing about it in my head heh. Each show I learned something new or thought of a new way to try something and I continue to do so. I have big hopes and dreams for the future so stay tuned folks :p Regardless, I’m proud of myself ❤️
Other small things I’m proud of myself for:
– I fought for what I believed in a lot more this year and in the process, lost a few things but I’m proud of myself and that’s enough.
– I slept the best I ever have in 5 years? Probably the most regular hours (it’s still not regular at all lol but I’m talking relative :p it was very bad before)
– I actually read a lot of books this year and man I’m so proud of myself. I’m so glad I was able to rekindle that love!
Things I’ve been mulling over:
– Perhaps living in 2 countries and making this career work could happen? I have made 5 work trips to the US happen this year!
– Am I addicted to feeling productive? Let’s attempt doing nothing (my worst nightmare) and find the power in doing that! This glorification of grinding and hustling is really all just temporary – a clear mind can perhaps do more, long term?
– I’ve been reevaluating and reprioritizing my goals – what truly means something to me and only me? What changed in the past several years in how I think?
My goal for 2023: Think less, make more. ⭐️
