Just before bed, I caught a glimpse in mirror. December 8th, I am 44 years young now… The miles behind and the miles ahead are all special. The wrinkles are not just wrinkles in skin, they are wrinkles in time. Thanks for having me Mom. Thanks for teaching me so many things that informed who I could and would become. Life starts with good parenting and the health of society depends on it. There have been so many amazing people along the way-family, friends, and colleagues that made this all possible. Some of them with the best of intentions and some of them with not the best of intentions. I appreciate them all.

Staring down 2023 like….
The holidays are over and 2023 is here. However the “feel good” hopeful part of the New Year doesn’t have to fade.

I just touched down from my last flight of 2022. I have to take a moment to thank this human being right here next to me for being the wind beneath my wings giving me the lift to build @brothersbondbourbon at breakneck speed and connect with all of you around this entire country and Canada.
Nik, you have worked tirelessly to hold the fort down while I’m gone and I don’t know how I can ever thank you enough. I’ve done over 100 flights in the last 18 months alone. It’s because of YOU I was able to build this company with my team so thank you. So, until I hit the road again early next year I promise I will: clean cat boxes, blanket the horses, feed the goats, chickens, cats, dogs, geckos and make sure every plant that feeds us has water so you can continue to be the biggest badass working mama in the world.

I need a HUGE tractor to move hundreds of thousands or pounds or rock and debris over acres and acres after these California rains. Some of my boulders are 5,000 lbs. Atmospheric river they call it. I feel terrible for those up in Northern California who lost so much.
Being from Louisiana, I’m used to seeing the stuff… California needs to get its shit together- we saved/pumped so very little precious water into our reservoirs. The water just went into the ocean and we should be livid. Approximately 24,000,000,000,000 (24 trillion) gallons of water fell and we saved very little of it, what a sad waste California. What a waste! This could’ve taken us out of a very scary water situation.
I’m hoping that we can find a balance of protecting wildlife, but also saving the precious water we need that is falling like a GIFT out of the sky… Do what we need to save it while protecting delicate species down stream. The ocean doesn’t need anymore water! Greenland melting is doing that just fine!

Happy New Year WORLD. We’ve got many things to fix in 2023 for sure. My heart goes out to all those struggling out there to live in peace, safety, and freedom. Good luck to everyone out there, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me in this @brothersbondbourbon endeavor. I put my entire life into this, Whiskey, and your support has shot it into the stratosphere. We’ve obviously still got much to do but I thank you so very much.
