Well, technically its 1st birthday isn’t until next week because I uploaded the record to Distrokid improperly last year which delayed the release but I’m just gonna go by the drop date listed on the streaming platforms which isn’t even today it’s yesterday so basically I just can’t get anything right.
As you can see here, the studio is really where I come to life. I think this picture was taken the day I lost my voice tracking vocals because it turned out I had yeast on my vocal chords. That really was the yeast of my problems. 🍞

It’s been a minute but I am excited and scared and everything in between to be coming back to this stage on Lafayette Street on Monday and Tuesday of next week. 8/15 is dang near sold out but tickets remain for 8/16. Thank you to @nicoleatkins for pulling me on deck to sing with her in NYC last week. Been such a fan ever since I saw her open for @theavettbrothers back in 2009. She is one of the greatest singers we have and a beast of a songwriter and musician. True rock and roll soul through and through. She is always one of the best tickets in town when she rolls through so catch her next time she hits near your home! Also check out her most recent opener @levimusique who is also tremendous.

New York City! You have another week to see @thesamestorm_film at @quadcinema. When this film was shot entirely on laptops, tablets and smart phones two years ago in the still early days of pandemic isolation, the odds of it someday screening in an actual theater were slim to say the least. I’m feeling very grateful to be part of this special project and very fortunate that people will have this chance to go sit among others and experience it collectively. Thanks to Peter Hedges for bringing us all together to tell these stories and thanks to the legendary Quad for hosting (and extending) us!
