Amy Bailey Instagram – Husband Appreciation Post: Last year we made the difficult decision to uproot our family and move from London to Texas. My mama is very sick and I just couldn’t be separated from her and my sweet dad while they are going through the deep trauma caused by her dementia. Anthony and I both come from very small-town humble beginnings, so the London life we had built from scratch and curated together felt pretty special. There was glamour and excitement and people and places that dazzled us. We felt proud to have “made it” in a way. Texas life now is much slower, rural, and at times feels like a strange dream that isn’t ours. The guy in this photo has gone through some big adjustments in order to be supportive of me and my desire to be closer to my parents. Not sure that dealing with 8ft snakes in our backyard was ever on his bucket list. I don’t know where this peculiar road is taking us Anthony, but I’m glad to be travelling it with you. Onwards, ever onwards. Love you 💜 *EDIT* For those who think this might be some sort of trophy-bragging of killing an animal – it’s not. Texas has a LOT of very dangerous snakes and a non-native dad, worried about his kids, just reacted fast to it attacking our pet. Thank you to all concerned…YES we later researched it to be a harmless rat snake and NO we wouldn’t deal with it like this again 🙏
