A couple weeks before we started filming @blondethefilm Andrew asked me if I played piano. No was the answer. He was hoping Gladys could play Fur Elise in one of the scenes. What?! I had no intention of filming my face with someone else’s hands and luckily I had @shevysmith on speed dial. I found this whole thing so moving and was grateful to have a reason to bring my big hands to the ivories. ❤️@netflix

@jn481262 (in the middle with his pals)started selling Christmas trees at the #arlingtonboysandgirlsclub over 50 years ago to raise money for the club. He gets these overalls out every year and helps find the right tree for each family that comes by. It’s very physical and COLD and he does it uncomplainingly year after year. I was thinking last night of all the families that have him as a part of their Christmas traditions and felt so proud of his endless generosity towards those less fortunate than himself.
