My mom posted this the other day on my birthday. Today I woke up to get some work done before Monday and was talking to Daniella about meeting later. When you are building something bigger than yourself it can be intimidating, it can be even more scary putting it all on the line when there is no roadmap set previously by other people. My mom use to do many things to help make ends meet. Babysitting during the day and cleaned office buildings at night. She would have to take me to the offices she cleaned. I would always go Into the CEOs office (he is my godfather so, it’s ok) and sit at his desk pretending it was mine. There was a machine outside of the building that I would crawl on top of and could see downtown Dallas. All the lights of the big city. I would sit there and stare, hoping I could make it to Dallas one day. If we could all hold onto our childhood mindsets and dreams, I feel we can manifest them into reality. Feeling blessed today. Thank you to everyone who helped this little girl make it to Dallas and beyond!!! XO

The Alliance has held a cherished place in my heart since I first connected with the organization and its mission to support young people in foster care 10 years ago. I had my daughter when I was 16, so I have compassion for, and a deep understanding of many of the challenges youth face—especially as they embark on parenthood.
The Alliance of Moms has brought together a vibrant network of mothers who are committed to supporting young families, and empowering them on their path to building positive futures for themselves and their children. I’m proud to continue my support of the Alliance’s mission through this incredible community of moms for moms.
Most recently, at Day of Wellness, I met a young woman who had never left her children in anyone’s care, and she was feeling guilty for taking an afternoon to take care of herself. I was able to see a version of myself in her and remembered those familiar feelings of mom guilt. I reminded her that she is also a priority, and we were all there to support her. And, once she was able to let go, she experienced an incredibly rejuvenating day in community and connection.
I wish I had an Alliance when I was her age. I’m so grateful to be involved now and to be giving back. Because, when you give, the gift you receive in return is priceless. My eyes are burning from the computer and reading the past few days. 5am until 11pm. I have dealt with some unpleasant moments this week with some unpleasant people. So, this quote settled quite well within. I want superiority checks from everyone tonight. We have no problem checking other people. Where’s our personal accountability for being that person. NO ONE should ever be dismissed or underestimated for any reason. Smart people know that, they are hungry for knowledge about anything and everyone all the time. If you are not dead, my friend you have more growing to do. We all grow until our souls are filled wholeheartedly. So, from this day on, laugh, condescend and don’t expect much from me. Because I can’t even hear your insecure tactics. Everyone is valuable and if you can’t see that, you are who I feel sorry for. Goodnight to ever single fucking amazing person in this world!! Yesterday was a rough one for me. Nothing really happened so, I was frustrated there was no way to justify it, for me. I always look for the “Why?”. It scares me when this dip happens because sometimes you just have to ride it out and convince yourself it will go away. I just never know when the switch turns back on. Luckily, I woke up today and it was a short feat, albeit it drags the day on. What do you do on these days to help get by? I love to watch comedies, stand up and read memes. Yes, I love memes. I have Laryngitis so, talking it out was not an option and typing can be a challenge. But, I just want to remind anyone who is having a funk day, as hard as they feel in the moment, it will pass. I think of all the times I wanted to give up and then I play the great memories I would of missed by giving up. I am with you!!! XO

One thing that makes @officialwondermind unique is we are our audience. We have good days and shit days with our bodies and minds. So, today was a shit day for me. My heart just felt dull, my head just said no and in comes the downfall. So, I do my best to get going, I try to take a nap, try to hype myself up about every damn thing I am blessed with. I had the self doubt circling me and now I can’t sleep. It’s out of my control for the moment, but will pass. Always know these moments pass. Today I allowed myself to sit in and feel it. My life is really great. Nothing happened. I’m good to read a book until I fall asleep and wake up for next day. Know I’m going through it with you. I just needed to get this out of my mind to help alleviate this lack of control. Goodnight all!!! XO

Oh, C. Kaufman my mind is never let down by your words. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is something that creates a false sense of safety. Without your mind, who would your heart talk to? You don’t just loose the bad times, you won’t understand the good ones. Im having a blissful and peaceful day. It feels fantastic. So fantastic it then turns into fear of what is bound to come.
