Kayaking was something I was really really keen to experience. Couldn’t have been a better place or company to do it with… This was at Lake Lough Currane, Waterville, Kerry County, Ireland.
It was as if the entire lake was a private property of mine & my instructor, Anna, Not a soul to be seen around… absolute silence ❤️ …. surrounded by these beautiful green hills, birds, the calming sound of the water & us rowing & the amazing & hilarious stories about Irish people Anna was narrating to me…. Beginning with an Irish Saying… ´Don’t spoil a good story for the sake of the truth..’ 😂
She told me stories about how Irish people don’t like water though they are surrounded by water & most can’t swim😅, in fact Anne’s grandfather used to tie her dad & uncle to the trees while they went fishing so that if in case they fell into the water, he wouldn’t have to jump in after them to save them 😂
& how the sailors didn’t learn swimming so if the ship sinks they cut the struggle short & just quickly drown 🤣😂
& the legend of the lake since it has a submerged fort with just the pillars u can feel on the surface which btw was sooo erie 😅 felt like an Irish Atlantis
& how cows love music & come to you when you sing….(of course not when I sing coz when I tried that on the nearby farm the cows seem to run away🙈), of course Anna proved the theory to me with a lovely video she sent me of her singing to the cows & they sweetly coming to her…. Bloody Racist Cows! 😂🤣😂
