Martin with the fantastic @davebautista as my leading man.🔥It will be an epic retelling of one of his most wonderful short stories. I voted for the midterms and I hope you all did too. I pray the we get more good people in to Congress and Senate like @garychambersjr @theothermandela and @marcus4georgia. I truly pray the dems will still have the majority by the time I’m home so major environmental policies can be put in place. We’ll see. We all wandered through the humid environment and the little ones would sit so still waiting for the fairies to come out of hiding. The girls watched the reflections of the plants and leaves in the pools of water, speaking in whispers. I took the opportunity to snap some beautiful, poignant pictures that I knew captured the mood we all felt. Some places have magic. You can feel them. Kids feel them even stronger and react in unexpected ways. My own who are usually chatterboxes just perched in out of the way places and let the garden speak to them in its warm, languorous, embracing way. And it all felt exactly as it should. Milla Jovovich Instagram – I’m trying to find the right words to talk about the soulful icon @tatjanapatitz passing. She was one of the most stunning humans. She cared so much about people and the world around her. Was a mother. A climate, an animal rights activist. Such a precious soul gone. These were my first years working as a model. Herb Ritts shot this image when I was 13 years old and Tatjana was there, giving me pointers and taking care of me. She was a natural mama even at such a young age. She only got better at it as the years went by. Im dumbfounded at the moment and processing grief. I send you so much love on your infinite journey because you deserve it. Rest in peace to one of the most beautiful angels. Don’t know what else to say. All my words are poor and lacking. Too young, too too young to leave this world now.
Milla Jovovich Instagram – I’ve taken a break from social media and pretty much all media for the last month and I only just read about the horrors that the Iranian “morality police” have been inflicting on women and the tragic death of #mahsaamini. Being a mother of three girls makes the struggle for women in places like Iran so pertinent and personal for me. This pic is of my daughter Dash who recently wanted to cut and color her hair. Of course her father and I couldn’t care less about what she does to her personal appearance, as long as she’s polite with people, does her best in school and her extra curricular activities and remembers to be respectful to herself and others. I can’t even imagine that something so innocent and sweet as a girl experimenting with her personal identity could lead to such violence in Iran. We are so lucky to live in a society where girls aren’t forced to follow religious dress codes or traditions. I’ve always believed that church and state have no place together. I believe morality is up to individuals and we need to follow our own moral codes. As long as we don’t hurt others and show respect to humanity in all it’s beautiful differences. He designed the hair for The Fifth Element and now all these years later we’ve collaborated on another iconic look for this new film! Ward photographed me moving to see how the wig looked in motion and here’s one of the shots from that session. We’re in our second week of principal photography with the lovely @davebautista! So far it’s been an epic shoot! I can’t wait to see how this new project based on the gorgeous short story by the master @georgerrmartin turns out, but so far so amazing! I wish I could post the whole costume with hair and make up, but I’ll have to keep that under wraps for a while longer.
