Tanushree Dutta Instagram – Today I met two sweet little village boys in a temple where I was meditating. They have never travelled outside the local towns and never been on an aeroplane. When they heard I was from Mumbai and took a flight to come here they were super curious, especially about planes. They asked me all about flights including how much it cost etc. Then one of the boys asked me if I could see “God” from the aeroplane window, sitting above the clouds..😊… I was so deeply touched & moved by his innocence and desire to see God that I decided to give him something that would enable him to “see” God someday. I told them that You cannot see God in the clouds from planes anymore, but you can see him in your heart, in your soul and most certainly in dreams and visions if you come to the temple regularly and spend an hour everyday doing the mantra Jap. I gave them two mantras; Hare Krishna Mahamantra & Har Har Mahadev. I told them very briefly and simple way about the 4 fold path to God..Bhakti, good karma, japa, tapa or yoga and recommended they find a bhagwadgita & try to read if they really want to meet God someday. They were Hindu kids so this teaching was appropriate for them. Had they been from another community I would have given them another teaching more suited to their upbringing. It was barely a 10 min conversation but my soul felt happy. I hope I have contributed to their future in this way. I had to be someplace so I left. Soon after I left I realised that I had forgotten to ask for my personal wish at this very jagrut temple because I was too busy preaching to the little munchkins 🤦‍♀️. I think the diety was smiling too at this scene!! Some times you encounter such innocence that it’s just a transformative experience! I will forever remember that someone asked me if I could see God in the clouds from my plane window!! 😆☺️☺️☺️ Travelling opens your eyes, heart and soul to a very different experience of life. It has been my greatest blessing in life to have travelled so much. Movement and restfullness..these are the two entwined states of an awakened soul. Travelling gives you both!!
