2012. That was the year. And this very VERY excited #theaterkid got to meet Dame Angela Lansbury backstage, after one of our shows at Godspell. She was just magnificent. She poured so much love into each of us, lifting us up with her joy. An icon of the stage, responsible for embodying so many bold roles we all know and love today. A legend across so many mediums but, for us, we all knew…she was always one of us :). Thank you, Angela Lansbury. Thank you. May you forever rest.

This is probably the most powerful video I’ve seen of women who are leading the human rights protests in Iran. To see them walking around with no hijab. To see them standing up for each other. To giving flowers to women in their hijab who have most likely said derogatory things to them.
If you’re confused by the convos these women are having with men, it’s because if you’re not wearing the hijab or wearing it in a manner where your hair is not fully covered up, other people are basically allowed to force you to wear the hijab by any means necessary. They are allowed to beat you and curse you out and do other violent things to you in public in order to get you to comply. That right isn’t just given to the police, it’s given to any stranger that comes across you.

It has always been my childhood dream to be a WORLD PEACE LEADER. I imagined myself continuing the work of so many greats like Mandela & Martin. A child’s dream that I believed & worked towards through my work with youth and how I carried myself in the world! When I got the opportunity with @bondstreettheatre to help youth use their art for activism it was a dream come true!

God placed me in the youngest nation in the world & the 11th poorest country in the world! I knew even I could help! It takes so little to accomplish so much there- and when I started sharing my experience with friends & family the donations poured in! People wanted to help.

We can send children to college for the year for less than $300- the whole year!! Education is the key to nation building & it’s my desire to help these young dreamers feel the hope of possibilities! I pray their futures shine bright like the sun! I hope you’ll watch, share, donate- it’s gonna be my personal mission over the next few years to help positively impact the youth in this country …and I hope some of you will join me!! This is how we Shake The Earth!! ✨💯🔥
