Armand and Director Bakhodir Yuldashev ( Photo ) invited back soon for theatrical Film based on Uzbek History won both Venice Film Festival 2017 and Ischia Film Festival 2017 for the Documentary ‘The Man who Unlocked the Universe.’
This is the second Achievement Award Assante received in 2022, the First from US/Mexico BiCentennial Film Festival. Assante Hosted the Event in Tashkent, UZB for close to 3000 people in Attendance.
I never took a moment of peace for granted. I’ve spent over Fifty years on the Road but close to Forty of all those years I’ve always returned to my Home on the Farm. You can’t put a price on Peace.

Thank you so much for this video tribute in your personal IG and I know especially You, growing up up so close to the same neighborhood where I was born, have perhaps felt this, more than many. The three moments you chose I am still connected to. I think many men are. Aside from the fact they are ‘characters’ I have loved to play the most, they share a common and profoundly dangerous war inside of them, being played out today right now in the world more than ever. All of these characters are tormented by ‘tribal law’ which they are rooted in. In trying to adapt to a so called ‘moral society’ it is also an egregiously ‘Affluent’ one, which originally, they were never part of. One of Arthur Miller’s most moving lines, in his play “View From the Bridge” sums it up. ‘I confess that something perversely pure calls to me from his memory
—not purely good, but himself purely, for he allowed himself to be
wholly known and for that I think I will him love him more than all my
sensible clients. And yet, it is better to settle for half, it must be!
And so I mourn him, I admit it, with a certain alarm.’

California Dreamin’ (Endless) was the Winner of Twenty One International Film Festivals including the ‘Prix un certain Regard’ at the 60th Cannes International Film Festival in May 2007.
Nemenscu was 27 years old when tragically killed during Post Production
along with Sound Engineer Andre Toncu
(Winner of Best Soundtrack – NexT Film Festival )
Armand said of Nemenscu he was “a great Artist. He could show the downfall of society in the glance of a character”.
