Ludi Lin Instagram – Hiroshima, one of the saddest and most beautiful places I’ve traveled to. In the past I’ve only known it as the notorious target of the first atomic bomb and now I know it for so much more. The burden of history and the sense of melancholy is unforgettable here but what truly takes my breath away is it’s resilience and serenity. Hiroshima feels vibrant and new. It has been rebuilt upon a promise of peace out of the ashes from war. I saw children laugh and play by the riverbank next to one of the atomic building remains nick named “atomic dome” I feel the soul of Hiroshima aching to share the indelible scars left in its cultural memory and the hope that if we always remember what occured here then history needn’t ever repeat itself.
