Mike Birbiglia Instagram – 18 years ago today I jumped through a second story window of a La Quinta Inn in Walla Walla, Washington and lived to tell jokes about it. I made a show about it. A movie. A book. I remember thinking at the time “if I don’t take photos of what just happened no one is going to believe it.” Here are a couple photos that are also in the credits of my film “Sleepwalk With Me” (produced by @iraglass pictured in car) as well as some extra photos like the one I took from the stage I performed at that night at Whitman College. It’s a very lucky thing to be able to create art from pain. Living through this experience taught me a lot about the ways in which I could stretch my own comedy. Thanks for letting me do that.
