CIRCA 2004…The Hangman…
Just before Iqbal released, I shot for this film The Hangman. Thank you Fahim for sending me these and it’s like memories ka pitara he khol diya!
1. This was my first film with the legends Om ji and @gulshangrover ji. They took care of me like I was their son. We miss you Om ji 🙏. @smitajayakar_official ma’am played my mother, Nazneen played my love interest and the things I learned being on set with them helped strengthen my foundation.
2. It was Vishal Bhandari’s directorial and what a young dynamic man he was….passed away a few years back and these pictures just make me miss him even more.
3. The wall you see was 4 floors high, not enough place to stand and back then without any harness I had to climb it and give a shot. It was my ‘director’s vision’ and only I know how scary it looked from up there 🥴 I knew I could fall at the crack of a second.
4. Suhrudddd…my brother, my friend played my reel friend as well and then we went on to produce a film together…Baji! Hi @suhrudgodbole look…how you look 😁
5. And….as I write this I also remember very well that I almost killed a friend…Sagar…while shooting the action sequence in the film. He was unconscious for a while and I remember that day explicitly 🥲.
All in all…this film has given me a lot. Bipinbhai, it’s time we made another one.
