Karthika Muralidharan Instagram – I travel alone for work all the time , but to take time off and vacation alone was a different ball game . I got all the time to people watch , make stories , contemplate on theories , get anxious and calm myself down – all only witnessed by me – for me .
A lot happened in the 4 days but here is the first Day and a half of many more self love vacays.
Day1 : I rented a scooter for Rs 350 a day plus petrol. It gets cheaper towards Auroville and more expensive( upto Rs 600) towards Pondi city .
I spent the whole day at Promanade among French colonial buildings, lazing dogs, woodfire pizzas , gelatos and lotss of people watching .
Day 2 : Was for Sunrise Kayaking! @pondicherryin curates activities and provided the best guides – Bala and Prabhu .
6am we started kayaking in fresh water, heard peacocks , kayaked into mangroves and spent early wee hours in forest silence and gentle babbling of the river. We then took our kayaks to the ruins of Arikamedu- a Greek trading port that traded with Rome!
My home was the coziest @la_maison_bleue_auroville run by beautiful Helena and her two fearless daughters Noah and Mae ❤️. .
