All my life I’ve had these wild ideas and expectations on what a great love would be, and I have spent half that time chasing the high. I thought I had it all figured out and all that’s left was to turn over every rock to find it, and when I touched it it would drag me like a portkey into a world of my dreams; like a bullet train whizzing through a tunnel as glimpses of my life flash in the reflection of the blackened windows. Quick snippets of intensity; veins swelling, heart pumping.
I never expected to be stopped in my tracks, and sat down, and looked at. To be seen for me in everything that I am, was, and will be. A picture so full my own periphery comes to clarity and I take a full, deep breath and realise how long I had been looking through a tunnel. Like someone had cranked up the aperture on the lens in my eyes and now I see that I had been where I had needed to be all along and everything is, and had always been beautiful 💜

It was part of my New Year’s Resolution to start posting more so here I am breaking the inertia on the last day of the first month with a quick exercise in allowing some flow~ In the past year or two I’ve been intentionally absent online while allowing my personal life to flourish in whatever way it wanted without feeling tethered to any kind of responsibility, it was a personal practice to rediscover myself free of expectations and honestly what a gift it was!
I’m a wild and messy person, I move erratically and not at all. I grow and shift, and bend and break as I need to; and I shed my skin when it feels tight. Sometimes that leaves me completely butt naked, feeling every gust of wind and ray of light in areas that don’t normally see the light of day but I like that. It makes me feel alive and I’m thankful for life.
I saw a shaman in Bali, she told me my aura is blue, green and purple. Blue for loyalty, green for healing and purple for spirituality. She told me my lower energy auras of red and yellow were seeping into the good. Red for disappointment and anger, yellow for worry. What she didn’t know was that I use to be suffocated in red and yellow, so I wouldn’t say that they’re seeping in, I think they’re being contained and slowly snuffed out. Anyway it reminds me of this photo and the cool sunset I saw on the way back from snorkelling in Nusa Penida 🌅🪬
