Shizuka Anderson Instagram – I recently went on super fun trip with @cheeserland to Yawatahama, Ehime on the picturesque island of Shikoku. ☀️
It’s a region that is renowned across Japan for its amazing “mikan” (mandarin oranges) 🍊so we were very excited to join a tour led by local female farmers where we learned how to harvest their abundant mikan, made mikan juice *fresh* right in the orchard (best juice I’ve ever had!), and later enjoyed a homemade bento lunch where nearly every item was infused with mikan. 😋🍊
The wonderful local farmers were as sweet as their oranges and taught us their secrets to making their internationally-award-winning mikan marmalade to enjoy fresh and even take back home! ✨
Ehime is quite possibly one of my favorite prefectures in Japan, and with its breathtaking sea views surrounded by terraced hills brimming with oranges, this experience in Yawatahama city is definitely one that the mandarin orange lovers of the world won’t want to miss!! 🍊🍊✨
