One week ago, Pearl Harbor survivor and ace WWII pilot Jack Holder passed away at 101 years old. It was an honor to know him and a privilege to have traveled with him to Pearl Harbor for the 75th anniversary of the attack.
God bless you Jack. Thank you for serving our country.
Rest In Peace my friend.
Your pal,
Gary
On February 10, our friend, WWII veteran Teddy Kirkpatrick passed away at the age of 99. Teddy and I became pals when we first met years ago at the National Memorial Day parade in DC (pictured here). We were talking and I noticed he was wearing a jacket that said 8th Air Force 379th Bomb Group. My Uncle Jack served in the same B 17 bomb group and turns out they knew each other and had flown together. Teddy was the last surviving member of the 379th. A remarkable man who lived a very full life.
An honor to know you Teddy. Thank you for serving our country saving the world from tyranny all those years ago. You will be missed. God bless you my friend. Rest in Peace. #salute
America has lost a great American hero. 97 year old Korean War veteran,Medal of Honor recipient Hiroshi “Hershey” Miyamura. My heart goes out to Hershey’s family. Sir, it was a great honor to know you. Thank you for your amazing service to our country. R.I.P. my friend. God bless
Hey folks, it’s Daytona Day! I had the great pleasure of being the honorary starter for the 56th annual Daytona 500 back in Feb 2014. A memory I’ll never forget. Congratulations to Ricky Stenhouse Jr, and all who raced today.

Yesterday, October 1st, 2022, US Army Spec. Bryan Dilberian, passed away. I am deeply saddened by this news and send my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Bryan served his country with great pride and on July 1, 2011, while on a routine patrol in Afghanistan, he was severely injured by an improvised explosive device (IED) losing two legs and an arm. On April 27, 2012 I had the great honor of playing a concert at Brooklyn College to help raise funds to build him a home. I will never forget his sacrifices for our country. God bless you Bryan. #RIP

Wishing my pals Jon and Andy Erwin, Kelsey Grammer, Jonathan Roumie, all at Lionsgate and the entire cast and crew of @jesusrevolutionmovie a great opening weekend. I loved the film & will be seeing it again with the family at one of our local theaters.

Today, we remember those we lost on September 11, 2001, and the families who continue to grieve. The images from that tragic day of the brave men and women who were running towards the crumbling buildings in New York and Washington, and the stories of the brave passengers on United 93 who fought back against the terrorists, are forever embedded in my memory. I often think of my dear friend, retired New York Fire Captain John Vigiano, whose two sons, one a police officer and the other a firefighter, ran towards danger to save others, losing their lives in the process. I will never take for granted their selfless sacrifice and commitment to rescuing their fellow citizens, and the bravery of all first responders who were lost that day. Today, I think of their families and friends, and their fellow professionals who continue to answer the call each day in our nation’s communities. I thank God for you all, and I want you to know that I will always have your back.
We will never forget.
Happy Birthday to our United States Marine Corps and to my amazing son Mac Sinise on his 32nd birthday. Love you Mac🙏🏻
Today’s the day, folks!
It’s #GivingTuesday and we have an incredible match opportunity thanks to our partner, @woodmenlife who has generously offered to match every dollar up to $500,000. That means we can raise a MILLION DOLLARS in support of our nation’s heroes, our wounded, the families of our fallen, and our first responders.
To all who have already donated, I want to send my thanks to you. And to all who are still thinking about it, I hope you’ll join us. Make a Giving Tuesday donation via the link in my bio and together we’ll positively impact so many more lives.
Great weekend with back to back concerts supporting our nation’s military. First at Naval Medical Center San Diego uplifting our wounded heroes, their families and caregivers, and the incredible hospital workers. Then today, at Vandenberg Air Force Base to remind our servicemen and women that we do not forget their sacrifices.
After 9/11, actor @garysiniseofficial — well known for his role as Lieutenant Dan Taylor in “Forrest Gump” — found himself in a dark place, trying to cope with the loss and horror. He took a page from Lieutenant Dan’s book and started giving back to others as a way to heal himself.
If you or someone you know is a struggling veteran, resources are available through the @garysinisefoundation and at the link in our bio.

Each Veterans Day I like to take time to reflect on the men and women who have sacrificed in freedoms defense. I think of my own family members who have worn the cloth of this nation, the incredible heroes I’ve met over the many years while on this mission, and I think of the veterans in your life, too. I am so thankful for those who have selflessly served this great country. Freedom and security are precious gifts that must be fought for and protected. With only a small percentage of our population serving in uniform, it is important that we do not forget our defenders here at home and those serving abroad, often in dark and dangerous places. It is because of them that we as a nation, live in the land of the free.
To all our nation’s veterans and the families who served alongside them, God bless you all and thank you for your selfless service.
I received this recently from @thomasnelson Publishing. Wow! I am so grateful to everyone who purchased a copy of Grateful American: A Journey from Self to Service. I am told that it continues to sell and hope all future readers enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Thank you all!
On the 2015 National Memorial Day Concert, @garysiniseofficial and several of our nation’s wounded, ill and injured warriors offered perspective and inspiration while visiting the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial. The wisdom inscribed on the memorial’s walls from Theodore “Ted” Strong, Jr. says it all, “It’s possible for a man to lose half of his physical being and still become whole.” #MemDayPBS The U.S. Capitol
