Jacob Collier Instagram - Burt Bacharach. A gentle giant. I can barely think of a musician whose legacy has had a greater impact on me. One of the most gifted and loving songwriters ever to have graced our planet. Here’s the first of his songs I ever heard - one that I’ve played on stage in every corner of the world, but which has never once lost its charm, beauty and magic to me. It still makes me cry when I hear Karen Carpenter sing it. The world is warmer, richer and deeper for Burt having been here. Thank you. We will miss you, Burt 💫

Jacob Collier Instagram - An Audience-scattered G major lagoon 🫧 This @steinwayandsons Model B grand piano, with whom I travelled throughout North America, UK and Europe as part of the Djesse Tour became a faithful and loyal friend to me. Across dozens of cities across the globe it kept me wonderful company. The piano’s beautiful tone was much of the inspiration behind improvising a different piano-vocal ballad in every city. Truly a magical instrument. Thank you, Steinway!
