The entire 500 staff at this Nepalese hospital just donated one days wages each towards the Australian BushFire appeal!!! I was in Nepal last week in my role as an Ambassador for @fredhollows. Australians and The Fred Hollows Foundation have been supporting Nepal for more than two decades including after the devastating 2015 earthquake. In honour of this amazing friendship the more than 500 staff at Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology have decided to donate a day’s wages to The Fred Hollows Foundation to pass on to the Australian Bushfire Appeal. This is an incredible display of generosity and support. #DrSandukRuit #TilgangaInstituteofOpthamology
We are in 2 week lockdown since arriving home from O.S. Doing the right thing and staying away and indoors. We have so much gratitude that we have a space to square away and retreat. It may sound petty as so many people all over the world are either suffering from, or putting themselves on the front line to battle COVID-19, BUT— I have to post about the appreciation I have for the support and kindness we’ve received from friends and family and NEIGHBOURS!!! Thanks to drop offs by Fi @youngjaynefiona and Mirrah @thatsallffoulkes (friends) and Carla @drgngrl (family) braving the grocery stores we have enough food!! And because of my amazing neighbours Ariel @shukbondi and Idit @sukhamukhayoga we have the best coffee and bread in Sydney AND, equipment for indoor yoga sessions. #goodNeighboursMakeLockdownBetter Bless you guys for helping us be fed and caffeinated and stretched. Buoyed by the generosity. Thank-you. 🙏🏼 So now it’s time to give back— Question- what recommendations do people have for the best places in Australia to donate to assist the cause.
