Three things I learned the hard way. 🐉
What do people love to watch? It’s Passion. People love watching people love things. The dancer on the street, in the circle with a smile, throwing thier body around to the music. The DJ on stage, pumping their fist, jumping and dancing with the crowd. The person on the screen, vividly speaking about insects, or rocks, or the planets in the sky. Even if it’s seaweed. Even if it’s the dirt between your toes. If they smile, we smile. If they can’t get enough of it, neither can we. As a travel host on TV and YouTube, I follow my passion. Because if people see passion, they can’t help but become passionate too. About nature. About fighting fears. About understanding the world. I always seek people who have passion. The geologist who can’t get enough of volcanoes. How the magma erupts from the top, how the landscape was created. The farmer who milks his goats, making cheese with his grandfathers recipe with meticulous detail. Proud of his craft. Information given the wrong way is forgettable fodder. But said with passion, you can’t look away. You learn. This is my constant quest. Follow the things that light me up like fire, and find those who are already lit ablaze. Passion is the key ingredient in creating great content, and passion is the key ingredient to true happiness. We are creatures of Passion.
