Today @fifaworldcup promoted a wonderful tribute to our King. We relive unforgettable moments, in which Pelé’s story helps to write the history of the sport. We are moved to remember the Brazilian football that enchanted the whole world. We remember how a black boy not only dribbled opponents, but also prejudice. We remember how this boy, who just wanted to win a World Cup for his father, did it three times, and ended up inspiring future generations to understand that the most motivating thing in sport is love.

He traveled the globe and spread good will, both through his play on the pitch and through activism off it. At the end he was rich, yet not with material things. With love.
