In the interview, Aisha recalls the terrible night she was taken up a mountain and tied hand and foot, her husband and other Taliban members discussing whether she deserved to be mutilated or executed. They cut off Aisha’s nose and ears and left her to die. Somehow she found the strength to find help. “A power walked with me that night,” she said. Aisha talks to Angelina about the suffering of people in Afghanistan today: “I put myself in the shoes of an Afghanistan woman.
