It’s such a blessing to me that each year we get a “reset”. A reason to try something new, work on a healthier version of ourselves, explore a new place, befriend a stranger, read more books, reflect and perfect. Yet, this year feels a bit different for me. When 2020 was over I felt such a relief. Despite the pandemic continuing, and new variants arising, I was just happy that one the the hardest years of my life was over. But 2021 is different. 2021 has brought me so much: amazing friends, losses, wins, new life lessons, travel, love, joy, kindness, meditation, vaccination, reflection, learning, and so much more. 2021 made me fall in love with life, a journey I am so thankful to embark on (all while taking Covid precautions of course)! As 2022 is fast approaching, I challenge each of you reading this to make every moment yours in the new year. Let this “reset” really be a continuation of growth! And as you and I continue our growth, I hope it stems from a place of love and respect, for not only ourselves, but for each and every individual around us. Love harder, think more, judge less, count your blessings, hug a loved one, spread kindness, fulfill your dreams. Here’s to the next trip around the sun. XO – IA

2022 – you were quite the year. The biggest year of growth I’ve ever had. I lost myself, only to reinvent the woman I am today. I lost some people, only to gain ones I’ll have for a lifetime. I traveled, sang, cried, screamed, laughed, loved, hugged, and found joy in new things. I saw the ocean, and I saw the mountains. I felt heavy, deep emotions, and I felt happiness that I had never felt before. I found a new hobby, one that made me stronger, physically and mentally. It brought me hope, and a community of people who genuinely changed my life. I continued to learn and pursue a degree. I built stronger relationships with others, which restored my faith in good people. I took some really hard losses, but enough small wins to remind me that life’s inconsistencies are powerful and beautiful. If you were a part of my journey this year, this is a thank you to you. I hope 2023 brings each and every one of you reading this a lesson like 2022 did for me. Whether it be about yourself, or this confusing world we live in. I hope you learn to love the body you’re in, appreciate your intelligence, stop entertaining things that don’t benefit you, love whatever God you believe in, hold your friends and family close. Run on the beach, hike the highest peak, fall down, get back up. Say ‘I love you’ when you mean it. Read a book, have a cocktail, take that nap. Fuel your body, and try new foods. Whatever brings YOU joy, do. Whatever restores your faith, believe in it. And whatever makes you grow, continue to water it. I’m so damn thankful. Hello 2023, I’m welcoming you with open arms and an open mind. – IA 🤍
