The wonderful @emjaybassett recently sent me these throwback pics of shooting ‘Solomon Kane’ (2007).
I played Meredith, a puritan girl who needed rescued from scary demons by the titular character. We filmed in the beautiful Czech Republic countryside and froze our 🍑‘s off, but had a lot of laughs along the way.
I also learned a few Czech words and phrases, one of which is the tongue-twister ‘Strč prst skrz krk’. I always thought it was something to do with firefighters but I just googled it and apparently it means stick a finger through the neck!?
tb to being a redhead in Perfume. Think this was the day I filmed a scene in France, mainly involving my feet and legs getting out of a 🛀 , then flew back to England in time for my afternoon’s school classes. Being a child actor was weird.

Liam: Mummy, I’m bored.
Me: Can you play with some of your new toys? There’s a whole bag of them there.
*patters out, then back in again*
Liam: I don’t want to play with any of those toys.
Me: Oh dude, please can you just give me five minutes? Then I promise we’ll play all afternoon.
Liam: Oh-kayyy. I’ll just go in there and wait.
Me: Well don’t do that, why don’t you build me a tower or something?
