Ceci Balagot Instagram – on this trans day of visibility I really want to thank all of the people in the industry who have encouraged and inspired me to be myself. I have been pretty public about my transition since the beginning and tried very hard to be a strong role model for any queer youth that may come across me, but truthfully, it gives me a lot of anxiety when i walk into work knowing at some point of the day I’m going to get misgendered and have to stand up for myself. I’m still at the place where I struggle to speak up, but my lovely cast mates literally always have my back and I couldn’t be more grateful. I booked Monster High right at the beginning of my journey and right after quarantine and full t I was so nervous to spend time with so many straight people I had never met before. but y’all are 100% the best straight friends i’ve ever had and im extremely grateful everyday for your nonwavering support. thank you @mattel @nickelodeon and @paramountplus and especially @toddholland3 for allowing the story of a happy trans child to be told during a time when so many are trying to erase our stories. to any other queer and trans people in the industry, let’s continue to create and share art that tells our stories, but most importantly, the joy we experience 💕🏳️‍⚧️ | Posted on 01/Apr/2023 09:36:10
