Bob Rafelson is no longer with us; he was such an amazing director and wonderful person. I got the chance to work/play with him in Stay Hungry. His production company, BBS produced some of the most influential and enduring movies. He was a producer from the beginning of my career on The Last Picture show. My love and heart go out to his family and friends.

Just heard Bill Richert is no longer with us. What a wonderful time I had working with Bill, what a great environment he created for all of us to work in, well, to play in, really. His set was loose and joyful, a place where ideas were welcome and nurtured. The cast he attracted to Winter Kills, his first picture, was an example of his charisma, sense of humor, and intelligence. Folks just wanted to be involved in what this guy was up to. I’ll miss you Bill. Love you, man.
