Happy Holidays! We managed to hang on to a handful of ornaments that my daughter and I make together for our own tree this year. It’s fun to see how the designs evolve, me turning new shapes and Kate experimenting with painting techniques. I hope these will be passed down in our family so the cherished memories of making them are shared for years to come. Anyone else feel like this? 🤣 When I’m sanding I get in a zone. I’m looking at grain. I’m going through the grits. I’m saying, “am I leaving any marks?” I’ll wipe away the dust and it looks beautiful. And you can feel the finish of the wood getting smoother. And the depth of the wood is coming out. I find it so satisfying.
