Amalia Holm Bjelke Instagram – Having been a choir child in Sweden I can’t let the 13th of December pass without joining in on some kind of Lucia celebrations. Last year in Vancouver, me and lingo-genius @arlenaguayostewart rehearsed the Lucia song lyric (for days) in the green room on set, brought @ashleynicolewilliams in on the tune and ever eager @sherrylrandall was on top of getting us something resembling Lucia-equipment. The intention was to surprise the crew in the dark factory building (which had excellent acoustics) as we were completing episode 2 of @motherlandtv season 3. But film set logistics are NOT to be screwed with and the risk of our innocent Lucia gimmick ruining anything on that tight schedule was simply not worth it on the day. For another time! This year I’m at home and getting the full experience, as part of a wonderful and tight choir. The duet in the video by me and Maria is a welcoming song as Lucia strides towards us, portrayed gracefully by my friend @nikiblomberg. Joyful moment af. As I’m catching up on Lucia celebrations lost and just hate to see great acoustics not be utilized, I also made a little Lucia-celebration for the neighbors in the 120 year old stairwell of our building on the morning of. (The elevator note says to open your apartment door if you want to hear the Lucia songs).
