The last of the Persephone series I shot with @anetherealfire, with Persephone ascending to the throne of Hades. I can’t say enough nice things about working with Chris. He truly makes EVERYONE he photographs look otherworldly. Back when I was cosplaying, I’d always be so dismayed to find a photographer whose work was very good, but who only photographed a certain “type” of beauty. It always felt like you had to pass a certain bar to be worthy of being photographed- I love cosplay, but did not love this aspect of it. Any insecurities you may have, any feeling that you may not “deserve” a full on glamor shoot of yourself- those reservations just do not exist in the heavenly realms of Chris’s studio. If you look at his other work, EVERYONE looks absolutely incredible. The same amount of care is put into every single picture, and every single subject looks like *they* set the beauty standard for the world their photos take place in. He is so gifted at capturing everyone at their most radiant. So bittersweet to not get any more new photos from this set ❤️ I will truly cherish them forever.

Third in @anetherealfire’s series with me as Persephone. Gradually getting darker in tone, this one has Persephone crossing the River Styx. There’s so many eerie details hidden here 💀 I think this one may be my favorite so far!
THE CAKE by @thebutterend! We wanted a moody, dramatic cake and we certainly got one. Lots of guesses that it’s red velvet but it’s actually pumpkin! We chose the flavor for the original October wedding but I think pumpkin is good all year. I ate this for breakfast for maybe a week straight. You can also see a pomegranate hiding there- we had pomegranates everywhere as a nod to Hades and Persephone & their husband/wife job of tallying up death. Sound familiar? 💀❤ 📷: @maxtepperphoto
