Ahh, The eighties…
A much simpler time.
Before social media, and The Internet…
We played Atari.
We listened to records and made mixed tapes. (Who else recorded music off the radio with their tape recorder?)
We rented movies on VHS (or Betamax) and played them on a VHS/BETA player.
We watched Friday Night Videos…
and stayed up late hoping to catch our favorite videos so we could record them on VHS.
We wanted our MTV.
Before smartphones and FaceTime,
we watched The Jetsons and thought how cool it would be- to be able to talk on the telephone and actually SEE the person on the other end.
I feel so very fortunate to be part of a generation that has been able to witness the amazing developments in technology.
But I’m also happy to have had a childhood with so many wonderful memories of growing up before them. 🥰
