Settling into life at high mountains is going well!
Our girls are adapting very well and I’m truly grateful to be here once again.
I will train very easy the first week, and thereafter I will hopefully increase speed and intensity.
As both @kilianjornet and I want to train, we did a great set up with Kilians mum and her partner to join our vacation here 🥰
Himalayas you got my ❤️

Some trainings are just better than others!
Mountain days was truly the base of my training until my pregnancies, then I wanted to prioritise pure training and efficiency. Because at those years, that’s what I needed.
But now I feel like I’m eager to get back for real in the mountains ❤️
Thanks @kilianjornet for a good day out 😘

[ Eat enough ]
Part 2 of what I believe is one of the keys to longevity in sport.
I think what we all ( coaches, professionals, kids sports clubs, etc) should focus on the training. We need to eat enough and balanced to perform on trainings, and it’s training you need to do to build that base, to evolve and compete at highest level.
I really admire the Norwegian triathletes and their coach when it comes to this approach.
I think we all are different, some humans can be OK on low body fat %, but some need more.
A good sign for us women is to still have our periods. If we don’t, then that’s a sign your body is stressed.
For me I knew I never wanted to risk injury or the risk of not being able to have children, just to loose some kg.
I hope for a future where it’s more focus on being healthy and perform at top level. 💛
This is a sensitive subject for many and personally I try to avoid thoughts and other that can influence in a way I’m convinced is not good for me.

Longevity in sport, what does it take to keep pushing the limits year by year?
I’ve learnt a few things;
( that I will pinpoint deeper in other posts)
🎈Find what motivates you. Keep that precious.
🎈Eat enough.
🎈Train hard and recover as hard.
🎈 Cross training is golden.
🎈 Don’t let injuries or pregnancies stop you if you want to come back to high level. You will get there.
🎈Community- a team, friends or a training group to share it all with.
🎈 Curiosity to learn and evolve.
13 years and counting here 🙋🏼♀️❤️

The switch from winter to spring and summer is always nice, but also exhausting I think! I get a lot of energy from more hours of light and sun, and get a lot done, but the winter mind is not set on it I think?
This winter I’ve been running more, so I feel that in a positive way, but the adaptation is not fully here yet.
Step by step more kilometers, and many cozy runs with Maui 🐕🦺
Do you feel the spring energy?
❤️

Speaking about being home during the whole winter- our local races are really top notch! @romsdalrando ⭐️
If you prefer real mountain ski mountaineering races- come here and enjoy them!
I’m very happy to be able to push in the uphills after some painful weeks with a broken rib.
Downhills a little safer, but when @johannaaastrom 🥈 almost caught me I geared up 😅 💨
Bravo to the organization, photographers, all volunteers, the youngster and all participants 👏🏼

[ Motivation ]
Motivation comes and goes, but your love for something goes deeper.
I think motivation can change and that’s fine, we all grow, evolve and adapt.
For sure I got days/weeks/months when the motivation is low, but I know that I still deeply love to explore my own limits pushing my comfortzone in races and mountains- so that keep me going.
I think health could be a big motivator too- to move our bodies to create a strong body and to get energy while training.
Sometimes it’s just to create a bigger plan and follow it, not to think to much about the harder parts, in the end it’s work towards the goal we set.
❤️
Let me know your motivation and/or goals! 🙏
