Jamie Chung Instagram – #NutrafolPartner My hair has been through a lot. Styled and colored for work, teased and pulled back for workouts, and lately hidden under caps during bouts of stress and hair thinning while I went through massive life changes. I hid behind my hair, and kept it long most of my life because it symbolized femininity and “beauty.” My mom survived cancer 22 years ago and even though her hair grew back she still wears a wig for special occasions when she knows pictures will be taken because she’s embarrassed of her now thinning hair. I’m also guilty of wearing hair pieces to make my hair look fuller when I’m going through phases of thinning. But why is that? It’s completely normal to go through these phases and I have a lot of friends going through life changes that affect hair shedding
and growth. Thank you @nutrafol for normalizing this topic and creating a forum for women to support each other.
