Plus, Carson isn’t afraid to address the harsh reality of the dangers involved in this career field. Nothing can really “prepare” for this category of “unknown” – but there are certain situations/scenarios & an education (mentally & physically) to help build a person – skydiving 🪂, piloting planes, scuba diving – all 3 of which Alyssa writes is her goal to achieve certification & license. * Carson highlights the “free stuff” online too – encouraging reading, listening & learning from those that have/do; her approach is on point & all encompassing. * Parts of the book reminded me of my own “approach” to becoming an actress at a young age. This book isn’t just for wannabe astronauts. Possibly a metaphoric blueprint for anyone pursuing a dream/goal; strategy, endurance, perseverance.
