last month i visited Jordan with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency (@refugees). the lovely families i met with were forced to flee their homes in Syria nearly 12 years ago now.

moms like Dania, who’s had her world flipped upside down & remains hopeful to give her son the world & safe home he deserves. geniuses like 17-year-old Rania who helped invent robotic shoes to help visually impaired people walk in her community at Zaatari Refugee Camp. or youth empowering groups like TIGER who support young refugee students by strengthening their sense of identity & creativity by learning new skills & sharing their art & conversation in a safe space w/ one another.
