YJHD – My second child, a piece of my heart and soul – 10 years old today! ❤️ I think after all these years, I can confidently say that… Making this movie was one of the greatest joys of my life! And what we achieved with it – with all its perfections and imperfections – is a source of great eternal pride for me! Strangely, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani fully from beginning to end, since the day it released … (Always pushing towards the next milestone, and not looking back enough…!) But when I’m older and wiser – I think I will watch the movie atleast once a year – because a big part of who I was and how I looked at life – is forever captured in this movie ! In the recent months, I have often had people recognise me and come up to me… and I’m thinking they will say something about Brahmāstra, and then they started talking about YJHD ! So, putting out a whole lot of gratitude for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani… and all the many people who connected deeply with the movie over the years ! ❤️🎈💥 Also sharing a Director’s Note I had written at the time, in my story which someone special from my team shared with me a few days ago… and it brought back all kinds of memories for me ! Yup 🙂

So… Before Kesariya became the song we all know and love today, it was… This ! A dancier groovier version of the Song! As you can now see, we even shot it. Then I realised that the film needed a more romantic version of the Song, the true version of Kesariya was created, I pleaded and convinced everyone to reshoot it … and I thought we would never show anyone this earlier version of Kesariya… But now – Our film has done really well, the festive season is upon us, and while this version of the song wasn’t right for the film… it’s still great fun and we all love it ! So we’re thinking of having some fun, and releasing it this weekend with the Video we shot ! (Shall we?!!!) Let’s call it … KESARIYA… DANCE MIX! ❤️🕺🏼💥 #brahmastra
INFO ON OUR MUSIC ALBUM ❤️🕉💥 But First… Happy Dussehra!!! 💥💥💥 Brahmāstra One’s story begins on the day of Dussehra within the movie, and so it felt right to target this date to have our music album ready! (I called it out in an earlier post of mine) Now this beautiful auspicious festive day is here… and after many days of continuing to work on the music post the movie’s release… we finally finished work on all the songs going on the music album last evening! But we can’t officially get it up online today because everyone has a holiday for Dussehra.. and offices needed to shut by early yesterday evening… So many apologies from me and the entire music team to anyone who was waiting for it… But all I can share for now – is the Album cover artwork 😂🤦♂️ Our music album will now be officially out Tomorrow Morning (Oct. 6th) on all music streaming platforms – as everyone gets back to work!!! Another piece of news connected to the Music is that we are considering… just considering… releasing the Score of the Movie as a separate album, as the film finishes its theatrical run after a few weeks… It’s something we had worked very hard to create but will need a fair amount of work still to compile as an album so we’re evaluating if people would actually enjoy listening to it ! I’m going to end with sharing the Track List that will be out tomorrow for those more deeply invested in the Music Journey!
