Why Hair? This isn't about hair, but what hair represents: bodily autonomy, human rights, and liberty. The Islamic Republic of Iran has numerous draconian laws, especially for women. Hair, in particular, is highly politicized. Iran is one of just two countries in the world with mandatory hijab laws for all women. Compulsory hijab is a means of a state control, and Iran's citizens are no longer accepting the status quo of the last 43 years. The Iranian people want women's rights, opportunity, and freedom.

Brandon Routh Instagram – Thank you 🙌🏼 @sagaftra
National Board for UNANIMOUSLY agreeing to send a Strike Authorization Vote to members!!!
This is a longtime coming!!!
My vote is a YES!
#SAGAFTRAStrong
Proud to stand in solidarity with our sister guild @wgaeast/@wgawest. 👊🏼

Creatives want, NEED, to create & inspire! ❤️
Fear of not being able to do what we love can lead to accepting so much less than we (everyone) deserve.
So much so, that it’s hard to stand against the weight of corporations— when it’s them against one.
But together, we are stronger.
We can, and must insist on boundaries WE, are comfortable with.
When we don’t, we get mistreated & devalued, which then greatly diminishes our creative spirit.

I guess corps don’t care if they kill that spirit now—because they’ll have AI regurgitate the collective creativity of humanity?
They will still make some money.
When that mine is exhausted, they will just search for another, and another, and continue to take & take.

Creatives are change makers.
Helping to show what our future world could look like (good & bad), and reminding ourselves of both the horrors & miracles of the present & the past, so we might learn from them, and then create more joy.

Fights like these are not just about one specific Union—or just Film/TV jobs.
It’s:
Teachers.
Teamsters.
Service Employees.
Laborers & Craftsman.
Commercial & Culinary workers.
State, County, & Municipal workers.
Nurses, EMT, Firefighters, Police.
And many more. #UnionStrong

I come from a proud #UnionFamily.
I proudly support the @sagaftra stance.
I emphatically urge ALL @sagaftra members to vote YES on the Strike Authorization Vote.
💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
