Brandon Routh Instagram – In solidarity with the women and girls in Iran, I’m sending a lock of my hair to Iranian officials. #youvegotmailiran #mahsaamini #opiran @youvegotmailiran
Thank you @talaashe for bringing this to my attention. And for all the work you continue to do raising awareness. This is not just an issue for #Iran, it is a #HumanRights and #Humanity issue.

Why Hair?
This isn’t about hair, but what hair represents: bodily autonomy, human rights, and liberty.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has numerous draconian laws, especially for women. Hair, in particular, is highly politicized.
Iran is one of just two countries in the world with mandatory hijab laws for all women.
Compulsory hijab is a means of a state control, and Iran’s citizens are no longer accepting the status quo of the last 43 years. The Iranian people want women’s rights, opportunity, and freedom. | Posted on 13/Oct/2022 22:50:33
