Daniel Gillies Instagram – In 2017, I traveled to the beautiful country of Uganda to help @OxfamAmerica and @OxfaminUganda support people fleeing the brutal conflict in South Sudan.
I was profoundly inspired by the people I met. Both the warriors of OXFAM and the refugees of SS. I couldn’t believe the resilience and fortitude of the survivors; humor, grace and compassion in the wake of unimaginable violence and horror.
I witnessed firsthand Oxfam’s partnership with organizations like Community Empowerment for Rural Development (CEFORD) to make real, enduring transformations happen at a local level.
Today is #WorldHumanitarianDay.
Let’s take a second to celebrate the accomplishments of those that devote their lives to less privileged souls around the world.
We are forever in your debt.
Join me in applauding the heroes of CEFORD today. ❤️
