Eddie Liu Instagram – Kung Fu was an incredible time with incredible people. I’m deeply grateful.

Of course, I wish we had more time together to do this. Luck is such a huge factor in this business. As actors we’re lucky to book a pilot, let alone get to make a TV show during a time of fear and uncertainty, find a family in a bunch of mostly strangers, and get the chance to do it for three years. I got really lucky. Coming together with all of our shared experiences as Asians, as Chinese Americans, and as unique individuals from different corners; it felt like stars had aligned for a bigger purpose. We became the first predominantly Asian American cast on network TV, led by an Asian American female showrunner and Asian American female lead, and we broke barriers beyond that. Kung Fu was about family, togetherness, and making people feel visible. And we had a hell of a time doing it. I’m so proud of what we achieved together.

Thank you to every single person who helped build Kung Fu into what it was – at every stage of production, from every office to the stunts gym to the set. It was truly a pleasure to work alongside you. Thank you for your tireless work and talent no matter what challenges you faced. @christinakimla you created something truly special and you brought us together for something bigger than all of us. You and @bunnyberens led with not just your talent but with respect and kindness.

Thank you to our fans for going on this ride with us and showing your love. We felt it. It’s an honor to know that KF made people feel seen and inspired to be themselves, to strive, to fight for what you love. And it was an honor to be Henry.

To my castmates – thank you for all the laughs, games, moments of insanity, shared meals, wisdom, the running bits, the times we had each other’s backs and lifted each other up. Hey, look at us. Who would’ve thought?
I love you dearly.

This has been an adventure, a privilege, a teacher, and gift of a lifetime. Thank you all.
