THE HAPPIEST MOMENT. I was very happy to see Capt Dipendra Singh Khatri recovering well in hospital in Kathmandu. @Eliteexped team and I were involved in rescuing him from the South Summit of Everest this week – this is the World’s Highest Rescue Mission. We brought him down from the South Summit (8,749m) to Camp 4 (7,950m), where two Sherpas from his team met us and took on his care.
I am glad to see you well Brother! This is a great result – when you put so much effort into a rescue and risk so much to try and save someone’s life – to see them recovering well in safety is the best feeling. It’s hard to describe that feeling that you have made a real difference and saved a life.
Sadly, not all high-altitude rescues have this happy outcome – rescue missions like this are life and death in the Big Mountains. Sadly, some of those we tried to rescue during 14 Peaks unfortunately died, even though we gave our everything, even putting aside our mission to try and save lives. That’s what makes this positive outcome so fantastic for my whole team.

RESCUE AT SOUTH SUMMIT/WORLD’s HIGHEST RESCUE!
Some of my Elite Exped team and I were involved in rescuing a climber from another guiding company on our way down from our Everest summit.
We found the climber Capt Dipendra Singh khatri , from another team, at the South Summit of Everest (8,749m). The climber had been there overnight.
I am thankful to my clients Jack and Will Lundin, for releasing me and Pasang Jharok to go and help with this rescue. Thank you to @anyatraveler for releasing @guideyukta and @alasdair_mckenzie for releasing Ki Temba to help. Even though they have paid us to be their guide, our clients kindly released us to help in this rescue.
Together we brought the climber all the way down to Camp 4 (7,950m) and there we handed the climber into the care of two Sherpas from the other guiding company.
We are now all safe at Camp 2 – together with our clients who re-joined us at Camp 4. We understand the climber and Sherpas have not made it back to Camp 2 yet. We wish the rescued climber and the team the very best and all we hope for is that they are safe.
I am very proud of my @eliteexped team and clients – on the mountain we are all one community and we look out for each other.
Note: I have never charge a penny for all the rescues I have done & that’s also including my team from @eliteexped ( Annapurna, Kanchenjunga Everest x 2 )

When you have the experience of leading 34/34 x 8,000er successful summit expeditions, detail planning heritage and the culture that I inherited from my 16 years in the military – you always deliver.

70 years ago, Mountaineering Icons Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary made history as the first to summit Mount Everest. They have inspired generations of mountaineers to go for their Big Mountain dreams. Rochelle has complex medical conditions which makes it very hard for her to acclimatise at high altitude – people didn’t believe that she could achieve it because of her medical conditions, which include: allergic asthma, Hypogammaglobulinemia, Cholinergic urticaria, hypertension, Haglund syndrome and allergies – including certain medications.
However, with careful planning and consideration of all the health concerns, we were able to work together to create an all-round plan to support her to make her dreams possible. Firstly, she summitted Ama Dablam with us last year and then, guess what? Rochelle smashed Everest and Lhotse.

The Mighty Khumbu
Part of Everest involves the Khumbu Icefall, this notorious piece plays a significant part of #Everest it is also the most dangerous part of the mountain but features some beautiful climbing. Our teams made safe passage in the early hours and headed up to the higher camps for further acclimatisation under the watchful eye of myself and the Elite Exped Team.
The Khumbu Icefall is a real test of mindset and determination to get through straight out of basecamp; once through the views of Everest and Lhotse are incredible!

As an exped leader your decision making is extremely crucial.
My time in the #UKSF has taught me to be resilient and patient in order to make a clear
approach for our summit plan!
One wrong decision could not only affect someone’s life but also you may jeopardise the mission and the summit success for others on the mountain!
So far I have 33/33 successful 8000m peak as exped leader and guiding from the front ( not from either base camp or Kathmandu) .👊🏽💥

You both impressed me with your determination, positive attitudes and focus.
I have always said that you can achieve your new possible when your ultimate motivation is about something bigger than you. Jack and Will were climbing in memory of their father who sadly died, and they also wanted to visit the Himalayas to discover more about Nepal and see what projects they could potentially get involved with to help the local community in the future.

The @skydivenimsdai team had an amazing day celebrating the 70th anniversary of the first successful Mt Everest summit!
We united people from all over the world for this incredible opportunity bringing in more tourism to #Nepal and showing them our beautiful country
We flew the Nepal flag in honour of this despite facing multiple challenges. It took us 2 months to get the required permits and permissions from CAAN, The home ministry, The government of nepal forest and environment department of National park and wild life conservation & CDO of Solukhumbu approval!
Of course this is very time consuming for me and my team, we have been knocking on countless doors to make this happen and If Nepal wants more tourism in the country I hope the government will make this a much simpler process!
Nepal is facing an economic crisis and has currently been ranked as one of the poorest country’s in the world, increasing tourism will bring more income into the country.
Being a global tourism ambassador of the country I request the government to come with up with a much more simpler process for the greater benefit Nepal and it’s people.
